Hi, I’m Katherine

I help engineers move from uncertainty to confidence with practical guidance and steady support.

I understand what it feels like to pause in your career and wonder what’s next. I provide structured guidance to help you see your path forward, combined with warm, human-centered coaching that meets you where you are.

“Before working with Katherine, I wasn’t able to see the forest for the trees.”

Now I know that if I put my mind to it, I can do it. I also learned to take small bites and focus on one step at a time.

Most engineers reach a crossroads

You may be considering a larger role or questioning whether engineering is still the right place for you.

Both paths carry risks.

Both deserve serious reflection.

Stepping into Leadership

Stepping into leadership means navigating unfamiliar challenges and higher visibility.

Stepping Away

Stepping away from engineering means questioning a career you have invested years building.

Neither decision is simple.

Engineers are trained to solve complex problems.

Career decisions deserve the same kind of structured thinking.

“Each session I have more and more confidence to trust the process.”

Katherine is amazing. I am anxious to see where this journey will lead me. Each session I have more and more confidence to trust the process and continue investing in myself. She is patient and very knowledgeable, cares about what you want for yourself, and helps you see that it is possible! I love her approach and I am excited for this journey. She’s great!

I’ve been at that crossroads myself

Tracing my Path

I began my career as an engineer, navigating challenges that often felt complex and overwhelming. Over time, I learned that small, intentional steps create momentum. My experience inspired me to guide others who feel uncertain about their next chapter.

I was a Process Engineer and knew I wanted more. I just didn’t know what “more” looked like.

Management offered a broader view of the business and the chance to influence decisions, but I questioned whether I was qualified. I also considered leaving engineering entirely, but didn’t know what direction made the most sense.

The hard part wasn’t ambition. It was visibility, knowing what was possible and which path would be the best fit.

Over time, I found roles that blended my technical skills with strategic work, moving from optimizing processes to shaping the products behind them and contributing to higher-level business decisions.

That’s exactly what I help engineers do now.

That experience taught me something important: The challenge usually isn’t capability,

It’s learning how to translate your strengths into new opportunities

If you’re at a similar crossroads, we can talk through it.

How I help you evaluate your next career move

Whether you’re aiming for a managerial role or questioning whether engineering is still the right lane, the challenge is rarely effort. It’s learning how to make a high-stakes career decision without guessing, rushing, or defaulting to the safest option.

That’s where I come in.

Stepping Up

Preparing for Strategic Roles

You may want to move into a strategic role, but find yourself second-guessing how you’ll perform in rooms where the conversation is less technical.

Unfamiliar challenges often arise:

  • Managing former peers

  • Making decisions without full data

  • Being evaluated on outcomes instead of accuracy

These skills can be learned. They just need the right preparation.

We focus on:

  • Positioning your engineering thinking as a business advantage

  • Making your communication more impactful

  • Stepping into authority without losing credibility

Stepping Out

Exploring New Directions

You may be wondering whether engineering still fits, while still feeling loyal to your team and proud of what you’ve built. Leaving can feel personal.

We focus on:

  • Identifying additional functions that leverage your strengths

  • Evaluating options without defaulting to what feels safe

  • Selecting a direction that aligns with who you are now

What both paths have in common

This isn’t about chasing a title or making a dramatic change. It’s about making a deliberate decision and backing it with thoughtful, actionable steps.

“After just a few sessions, I knew exactly what I wanted to pursue.”

Katherine, with her heart of gold and real-world experience in STEM, helped me hone in on my values and helped me tease out the inner dialogue. Together, we came up with a manageable and implementable strategy to not only determine which programs to apply for but follow through on them.

Her guidance helped me feel empowered. After just a few sessions, I knew exactly what program I wanted to pursue and jumped into the process feeling less overwhelmed and confident. The best thing about working with Katherine is she really cares and she listened to my goals (and the uncertainties) and asked just the right questions at the right time to get me in control of my goals.

You don’t need to have everything figured out

You do need to be willing to look at your situation honestly, explore your options, and make a decision with intention instead of defaulting to what feels safest.
